This busy family of six wanted a living room that was flexible for movie nights, social gatherings and piano practice. Our vision for the design incorporates neutral toned custom made sofas with high quality durable fabric in a light grey which serves as a foundation for the pops of colour and texture in the form of occasional chairs, custom cushions, ottomans and the eye catching artwork that's the centre of attention. We selected a bamboo silk rug with teal and neutral hues to pull the entire space together. And for those family movie nights? A hidden projector screen takes the spotlight – well, until the movies are over, and then our artwork regains its star status. With plenty of places to sit, including handy, multi-purpose ottomans (that work overtime both as coffee tables and storage solutions), this family friendly design that’s not only warm and welcoming but flexible.
